Update: Sumnmer 2015

Hello Friends and family! I hope you had a wonderful Easter! I have had privilege of being home with my family while recovering from a concussion and am feeling better. I cannot believe that how fast time flies! Levi is taller than me now, and Nicole will turn 20 next month. I love them all!

As most of you know, I am in Bible school pursuing a Bachelors in Theology and Christian Ministries through Jack Hayford’s King’s University. Currently my favorite classes are Biblical Counseling which is very fascinating and applicable to mentoring teenage girls and Oral Communication which makes my heart come alive! I absolutely love learning and the opportunity to get hands on training while being taught things that I am passionate about in small classroom settings.

I also continue to serve under Pastor Brandon Cormier at New Life Church in Colorado Springs working with Desperation Student Ministries (DSM). We have seen God do amazing things this year in and through our 7th-12th grade students and college aged interns! From salvations to healings, there is no limit to what our God can do! I have had the privilege of being a part of implementing intentional small groups in our High School ministry as well as developing a young adult volunteer team to lead and pastor these groups. We continue to see a hunger for prayer grow in our students, as well as a passion to see their schools know Jesus. I stand back in awe of the faithfulness of God! We are expectant as we look forward to this year’s Desperation Conference, and pray that God will continue fanning the flame in their hearts along with thousands of students across the country that will be on our campus this summer. Please join me praying for God’s will to be done July 8th-11th!

Personally, this year has been the most stretching yet! Through the continued health battle, a car wreck, and multiple transitions, I am amazed at God’s steadfast love through it all. I am realizing more than ever that there is beauty in the process, and that He is with me in the midst of it. Romans 15:13 has been my declaration for months now, that God would fill me with all peace and joy, (not based on my current circumstance) and that by the power of the Holy Spirit (not my own power) that I would ABOUND IN HOPE! I am blown away at the support system that He has blessed me with and the way that He has always provided every need. Thank you for continuing to partner with me in prayer through this journey that the Lord has me on! 

This Summer I have the privilege to help in leading a team of Desperation Leadership Academy (DLA) interns on a missions trip to Germany and Switzerland.

Details? The trip is from June 3th-17th. Here is a breakdown of the overall schedule so that you can pray specifically over what we will be doing each day:

· 3^rd-4^th           Travel Days

· 5^th-7^th           Berlin, Germany 
(Worship and Prayer Clinics, Night of Worship and Ministry, Encouraging and serving the local church)

· 8^th-9^th           Herrnhut, Germany 
(Prayer walking, Revival History Tour, Ministry Prep) 

· 10^th -16^th       Switzerland 
(Door-to-door evangelism with Every Home for Christ)

· 17th              Travel Home

I am so excited to join with our 2^nd year DLA interns to serve and spread the good news of Jesus Christ, and also to encourage and serve the local church! Update: Summer 2014- Reach Trinidad

Hello Friends and Family! I hope you all are enjoying life and doing well! As many of you know, last fall I made the move from my Honor Academy internship at Teen Mania Ministries in Garden Valley, Texas to join New Life Church in Colorado Springs! I am serving under Pastors David Perkins and Brandon Cormier in Desperation Student Ministries (DSM) to provoke this generation to desperately pursue God. 

I specifically am over our students getting involved in community through small groups and prayer meetings which are both huge passions of mine! We have been seeing countless students’ lives changed as they encounter the presence of God in a real way! Continue to pray for the Holy Spirit to lead us as we disciple and lead these students. It is an truly an honor and adventure! Also, as summer is almost here be praying for our annual Desperation Conference where thousands of teenagers from all over the country will be on our campus seeking the face of God! I can’t believe I get to be apart of the ministry God used to mark my life as a 14 year old kid attending the conference! WOW GOD! He is SO faithful!

I am also pursuing a degree in Theology through Jack Hayford’s The King’s University. I can’t believe that I have the privilege to cultivate the passion and calling on my life through classes and books while also being able to “practice” and grow in a tangible way through leading in youth ministry… AT THE SAME TIME! This season of life is literally a dream come true and I’m in awe at how God orchestrated every single step in the process! This past year has definitely been the most transition that I have ever experienced in my life, but I continue to be amazed at the faithfulness of God through it all. There have been quite a few challenges from a stolen car to the continued health battle, but I am being stretched out of my comfort zone and learning to trust Him more than ever and it really is SO worth it! Through it all I want to be one who has a inner resolve that: "As for me, I shall BEHOLD Your face in righteousness. When I awake, I shall be SATISFIED with Your LIKENESS." Psalm 17:15

This Summer I have the privilege of leading a team of students from DSM to spread the gospel in Trinidad with an organization called “Every Home For Christ.” We will be going house to house bringing hope to a hopeless area as well as serving local churches in the community. This will be the 3rd year of DSM going to Trinidad and I am excited to be apart of it!
